 Overview

Triple-R Ranch, a 370 acre working ranch in southern Chesapeake VA, has just the right programs for boys and girls, as well as teenagers. Triple-R offers a time proven quality program just right for your child's summer camp experience.

Begun in 1960, Triple-R has served many thousands of children, offering the same quality, Christian camping experience year after year. Summer Staff are recruited from colleges far and wide, based on their Christian Commitment and their desire to have a positive impact in the life and faith of their campers.

Whether your camper mounts up for a horseback ride, launches a canoe for a glide down the Northwest river, tests their skill at archery and riflery, or just takes a stroll through our acres of woodlands, they'll be sure to discover the excitement of the Triple-R when they attend one of our summer camps.

Trained college-age counselors help campers achieve new skills and experiences: including studying the Bible, a vital part of camp. Counselors help campers in understanding God's love and applying His word to their lives.

Trail Riders Camp (Ages 8-13)
If your child loves all the energy of Adventure Camp and still wants to get in the saddle this is the camp! Trail Blazer campers choose 3 skill areas from the adventure camp list and also get trail rides and experience in the stables.

Horselovers (for girls) Cowboy Camp (for boys) (Ages 10-13)
Is your child a budding horseman? If so our Horselovers/ Cowboy Camp may be just the right choice. Campers spend an entire morning developing their horsemanship skills. Classes involve riding lessons (including a choice of vaulting or cowboy skills), barn management, theory, and horse care. In the afternoon and evening the fun continues as they join Adventure campers in Bible hour, swimming, games, camp skits, firesides and more! The week's highlight is the horse show.

As a member of CHA, our horsemanship program is among the safest in the country. Our professional and experienced horse staff is ready to provide your child with a rewarding and educational week of riding. See you in the saddle!

Typical Day (adventure camp and horselovers/cowboy camp)
Each day begins at the amphitheater with a time of singing and devotions. After breakfast, campers head for their favorite skill area classes and a morning full of custom designed fun. Lunch time and rest hour bring a much needed break before afternoon swimming, Trading Post, games, Bible discovery time, elective activities and more. During the Evenings, campers can expect large group games, cabin skits, prime-time and firesides: a vital part of our spiritual emphasis.

Teen Camp (Ages 13-17)
Teen campers love the field events night with the inflatable obstacle course, truck bash, skate park, BMX track, Challenge course, Zip Line, high energy worship music, dynamic speakers, and more! And don't forget the evening service, an important part of the program. Don't miss out. The Climbing Tower is here as well as our 60 foot long water slide and don't forget the new covered riding arena! Only those with an extreme appetite for fun allowed.

Venture Out (Ages 14-17)
Venure Out is our outdoor adventure program designed for teens. More about this program can be learned at our Venture Out Page. Venture Out offers Mountain Expeditions with whitewater canoeing, rock climbing, and backpacking as well as Surf Camps.
