Our Staff

Duane Plummer - Executive Director of Triple R
Duane first came to the Triple R in the summer of 1987 after earning his B.S. degree at Asbury College in Kentucky. After two years in the maintenance department Duane left to complete his Masters in Christian Camping at Regent University. He returned as Executive Director in 1990. He is married to the former Katrina Quesinberry of Chesapeake. Together they have four children; McKayla, McKenna, Delmon, and Davis. They attend Harvest Assembly in Chesapeake.

Jeanette Henderson - Guest Group Coordinator/Summer Camp Director
Jeanette was born in Hampton and worked as a legal secretary before beginning her career as a stay-home mom. When her youngest started school, Jeanette volunteered at the Triple R and eventually was hired as the Office manager. In 1992 the Lord led her to a position as Youth Minister in Ahoskie, NC. She served there for 7 years before returning to Chesapeake and the Triple R. In 2000 Jeanette signed on as full time Summer Camp Director. She is married to Jack Henderson and together they have two children; Missy and David , and granddaughter Haily. They attend River Oak Church.

Bob Walker - Facilities Director
Bob was born in Illinois but grew up in the Tidewater area. In 1981 he started volunteering at the Triple R, helping to build the current Administrative Office. Later, Bob took a position as Assistant to the Maintenance Director. In 1984 Bob left to finish his B.A. in English but returned to Triple R in 1986. Although he started again in the Maintenance Department, Bob was reassigned to his current position as Guest Group Coordinator in 1987. Bob is married to the former Wendy Lazenby of Utica, NY and together they have three children; Daniel, Rachael, and Hannah. They attend Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church in Chesapeake.

Mike Goins - Food Service Director
Mike was born in Stamford, NY but grew up in the Chesapeake area. In 1995 Mike graduated from Johnson & Wales University. He has two children; January and Michael. Mike attends First Baptist Church of Norfolk

Marilyn McKee - Horsemanship Director
Marilyn was born and raised in Norfolk, VA and first came to the Triple R as a 7 year old camper. She gave her life to Christ that summer and later, recommitted her life to the Lord on a mission field in Honduras. After graduating from Longwood University with a B.S degree in Biology, Marilyn relocated to Maui, HA where she was a wrangler on a working cattle ranch. In February of 2010 she returned to Virginia to start her current position.

Dan Hardesty - Marketing &

Adventure Programs
Dan has been a Triple R camper, on Junior Staff, Summer Staff, and has served on full time staff as the Summer Camp Director and Director of Venture Out programs. Dan graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Outdoor Recreation Leadership. Dan is now with Triple R part time overseeing marketing. He also serves at Community Church of Chesapeake as the Pastor of Worship and Arts, and is a member of the alternative folk band Bison. Dan is married to the former Carla Newman of Burlington, NC. Together they have three children: Ben, Annah, and Caroline.
