The Development Department exists to build community and strengthen support for the Triple R Ranch through prayer, volunteer participation and/or financial donation.
Through these efforts we intend to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all and to bring glory and honor to our Heavenly Father.
We share our faith in a manner we refer to as decentralized ministry- focusing primarily on personal demonstration and expression of our faith, shared personally via one on one or in small group settings. This is quite different from other camps that practice the large sermon ministry style. We offer no criticism of that style camp but just recognize it is not how Triple R operates. For over 50 years this has been a powerful, successful, life-changing ministry and we intend to continue with what works best for us.
If you are interested in changing lives for Christ, then you have something in common with us. Supporting our ministry would be a meaningful way to ensure this mission continues. We continuously review our costs and expenses and make all efforts to keep guest and camper fees to a minimum; our emphasis being on getting folks here. However, these cost cutting measures can very easily impact on the long range care of our infrastructure. Buildings will age and need constant maintenance, equipment eventually gets old and fails, the needs of horse care alone can be tremendous. Additionally, as we see an increase in the number of guests, new staff is needed to accomodate their needs. These are wonderful problems to have as they all indicate we are serving people - as we are called to, but rest assured, you can be a valuable contributor to this ministry.
There are other possibilities. Many know first hand, the life long memories developed at camp; that favorite horse, shooting bow and arrow, the rifle range, the team challenges, the singing, ... the friends. It is a wonderful gem in one's life to provide this opportunity for someone else, maybe a child in a family with challenging financial situation. Donating specifically to our Campership Fund (camper scholarships) invests in the future of children who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
Finally, we have made available new resources to embrace giving beyond one's own life. Estate planning, using various financial planning tools available today, is a very powerful way to establish a personal legacy of giving. Folks designating this ministry in their estate planning are establishing a means to continue the ministry and bless children for years and years to come, beyond their own life.
The opportunities are endless, the rewards - paid for an eternity. Consider how your love for sharing God's love might translate into power action by supporting the Triple R.
