Mountian Expedition

For personal clothing, pack light, and bring only what you will need. Remember that you will be moving all of your own personal gear plus some additional group gear every day to a new campsite. Consider the activities involved and remember that the program continues in spite of inclement weather. Temperatures are often cooler in the mountains than you might expect. The following list is provided as a guideline:

___ 1 pair of long pants (synthetic material is best)
___ 2 pair of shorts (synthetic material is best)
___ 1 wool or fleece sweater
___ 2 T-shirts
___ rain gear or rain poncho
___ several pairs of socks
___ underwear
___ hiking shoes (broken-in, sneakers with good support are as good as hiking boots)
___ shoes for river (Tevas, sandals, water shoes / not flip flops)
___ bathing suit (girls: one-piece)
___ 1 towel
___ toiletries
___ 1 flashlight with extra batteries and bulb
___ sleeping bag (compact/light weight, not cotton)
___ 2 one liter bottles for water
___ sunblock
___ insect repellent (lotion)
___ hat and sunglasses

DO NOT BRING:
Radios, Discmans, electronic games, magazines, cellular phones, pagers or food.

Shelter, backpack, sleeping pad, journal, pen, Bible, plate and utensils, first aid equipment and all technical gear for activities
